Plus: Happy Rosh Hashanah!

What’s up, Hustlers!
Shanah Tovah!
At my house, Rosh Hashanah means apples + honey, loud love, and intentions said with your whole chest.
Old recipes, family stories, and moments of reflection are “gratitude checkpoints” —small pauses to notice where you’ve been, what you’ve built, and choose what comes next.
Reflection is fuel. Gratitude keeps you grounded and hungry.
This week, pick one ritual, call your people, and anchor your year in gratitude and grit.

.WHAT I’M CELEBRATING.
Another year older 🎉 Thank y’all for the birthday love!! I felt it deeply from family, friends, and this community. ❤️
Here’s the truth I’m standing in: aging isn’t decaying. It’s alignment. I’m stronger after two babies than I was twenty years ago because strength compounds when you choose it. And the story you tell yourself matters. If you tell yourself you’re declining, guess what? Your muscles and your mind are listening. Speak power. Act on it.
Here’s how to put it into practice:
Upgrade your self-talk. Treat it like training. What you repeat becomes your reality.
Cut the noise and double down on what matters. Fewer “shoulds.” More purpose. Protect your bandwidth with clear boundaries.
Prove it with one action. Confidence grows from reps. Pick a single move: lift heavier, take the long walk, schedule the check-in, write the pitch. Do it today.
.WHAT I’M LISTENING TO.
Strong Talk 💪 On the Men’s Health YouTube channel, Fitness Director Ebenezer Samuel sits down with experts and celebrities to dig into what actually works—how they train, why they train, and how they stay consistent.
I’m obsessed with the recent multi-part series featuring Frank Grillo. He’s 60 and absolutely crushing it. Frank’s philosophy? Routine, consistency, and discipline > motivation. “Nothing motivates me to go to the gym. I just go… Make it a routine… It has nothing to do with what motivates me and everything to do with showing up.” ⬇️
.WHAT I’M SIPPING.
Pu’er for Performance 🧡 There’s a lot of talk about gut health and a healthy microbiome, but what does that actually mean? Your microbiome is the community of trillions of microbes in your gut that help break down food, support immunity, and keep inflammation in check. When it’s well-fed and balanced, you feel it: less bloat, smoother digestion, and more consistent energy. Research shows the gut microbiome doesn’t just aid digestion; it also communicates with the brain (the “gut–brain axis”) and may influence how we regulate emotions and stress.
That’s why I use Pique’s Pu’er teas to naturally feed beneficial bacteria and support a resilient gut environment. I use Black Pu’er in the morning to kickstart metabolism and Green Pu’er after meals to aid digestion.

Question: How do you create time for self-care with the demands of being a caregiver and having a career?
Answer: For me, self-care is non-negotiable. You’ve got to carve out time to do something for yourself, no matter how packed your day is. Block it off on your calendar like any other meeting—it’s that important. Whether it’s going for a run, doing a quick ride, or even taking 10 minutes for a face mask, do something that refuels you. When you take care of yourself, you show up stronger for everyone else in your life. No guilt. No apologies.
Got a question for me? Reply to this email and let me know what’s on your mind.
Thanks for reading, Hustlers. Go out there, pivot with power, and stay curious about what’s next.
