What’s up, Hustlers!

Discipline is the highest form of self-love.

It’s the daily commitment to yourself. The decision that compounds over time. It’s what turns goals into reality.

Discipline is choosing the habits, routines, and boundaries that support the life you’re building.

That’s sexy, baby. That's self-love.

Where are you showing up with discipline this week?

Protein-Packed Alfredo Pasta 🍝 Nothing beats a lunch built on complex carbs. With 29g of protein and 14g of fiber, this recipe from my NYT bestselling cookbook, Eat to Hustle, is one of those meals that actually keeps you locked in long after lunch. It’s cozy, creamy, and satisfying—not to mention it is SO easy. You can literally make it in the time the pasta is cooking.

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz pasta (bonus points for protein pasta!)

  • 6 oz tofu

  • 1 (15.5 oz) can cannellini beans

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • ½ cup nutritional yeast

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 2 tsp salt (to taste)

  • 1 cup reserved pasta water

  • Fresh basil

Instructions:

  • In a large pot, combine 4 quarts water and 1 tablespoon of the salt. Add the pasta and cook according to the package directions.

  • Reserve 1 cup of the pasta cooking water before draining.

  • In a blender, combine the tofu, cannellini beans, garlic, nutritional yeast, pepper, the remaining 2 teaspoons salt, and the reserved pasta water. Blend on high until completely smooth, about 2 minutes. Taste for seasoning.

  • Return the pasta to the pot and add the alfredo sauce, stirring the two together. Set over medium heat and stir until the sauce warms through, about 3 minutes.

  • Serve with a sprinkle of fresh basil and enjoy!

.WHAT I’M RECAPPING.

An incredible trip to Kona Village 🌺 Visiting Kona Village has been a bucket list trip of mine for a long time. Drew spent time working in Hawai‘i in college and has always wanted to return to the islands. This was our first time bringing the kids—and it was pure magic.

Kona is easily one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been, but what really stayed with me is how intentional everything feels. Kona Village is rooted in honoring the land, the culture, and the pace of island life. You feel that in everything.

We leaned all the way in. Here are some of our favorite moments:

  • Mornings started at the most beautiful gym overlooking volcanic rock, followed by family hangs by the pool.

  • Afternoons filled with daily shaved ice runs (non-negotiable), beach hangs, snorkeling in crystal-clear bays, and canoeing along the coast of Kaʻūpūlehu.

  • The kids were in their element. The Kids (Keiki) Club was rooted in culture and exploration, giving them their own experience of the island. I even joined Athena for traditional lei making.

  • We walked through ancient petroglyphs at the Ka`uluola Cultural Center—seeing those carvings in person was a powerful reminder of how much history lives here.

  • One of my favorite moments was mailing coconuts (yes, actually mailing coconuts 🥥 📬). It felt like sending a little piece of the island home.

  • And the food… The Island Roots dinner at the Imu Grounds was something special—shared tables, local ingredients, and a deep respect for where everything comes from.

I feel so grateful we got to experience this as a family. Truly one of those trips that stays with you.

Mahalo, Kona Village. We will be back! 💗

Question: Like you, I’m not a coffee girlie—but I also don’t love matcha. What do you recommend for a caffeine boost without the crash?

- Amy

Answer: I hear you—coffee isn’t the only way to show up energized. I need steady, intentional energy that actually lasts.

Lately, I’ve been keeping Pique’s Ginger Peach Black Tea packets in my bag. They were a go-to during book tour week when the days were long and nonstop. It’s a lighter caffeine hit that does the job without that wired feeling or crash later.
