Plus: The best vegan protein sources

Whatās up, Hustlers!
We donāt wait for the perfect momentāwe create it. Action beats perfection every time.
If youāre waiting for the stars to align before you take the first stepādonāt. Start messy. Start unsure. Start scared. Just start. Progress comes from movement, not hesitation.
Keep showing up. Keep building. Keep trusting your next step.

.WHAT IāM EATING.
Lots of vegan protein šŖ One of the most frequent questions I get is: āHow do you get enough protein as a vegan?ā Letās bust that mythāloud and clear. I get MORE than enough.
Protein is essential for energy, recovery, and staying strongāespecially when youāre training hard and chasing big goals. Below are some of the best vegan protein sources. My personal favorite? Tofu all day. Crispy, pan-fried, or smothered in sauce, Iāll choose tofu every time.
Vegan Protein Sources (by serving):
Seitan (3 oz): 19g
Tempeh (3 oz): 17g
Tofu (3 oz): 9g
Chickpeas (1 cup): 12g
Lentils (1 cup): 18g
Edamame (1 cup): 18g
Black beans (1 cup): 15g
Soy milk (1 cup): 9g
Pea milk (1 cup): 8g
Quinoa (1 cup): 8g
Hemp seeds (3 tbsp): 10g
Nutritional yeast (2 tbsp): 5g
Almonds (1 oz): 6g
Peas (Ā½ cup): 4g
Sprouted grain bread (1 slice): 5g
Spinach (1 cup): 9g
Plant-based protein is powerful, versatile, and anything but boring. Mix it up, get creative, and fuel your hustle with intention. š„

Tips to get running šāāļø Warmer weather means more outdoor runs! Whether youāre lacing up for the first time or getting back into your groove, running season is on. The best part? You donāt need fancy gear or a perfect planāyou just need to start.
Here are my top tips for new runners (or anyone who needs a reset):
Get the right shoes. Go to your local running store and get fitted for shoes that work for your feet. Itās a game-changer.
Try the talk test. If you can sing a verse of your favorite song without totally gasping for air, youāre at the right pace. Donāt sprint out the gate.
Start with minutes, not miles. Donāt stress the distance. Start with 15ā20 minutes and build up. Once your body finds its rhythm, youāll be surprised how far you can go.
Follow the 10 Percent Rule. Donāt jump from 2 miles to 7 in a week. Increase your total mileage by no more than 10% weekly. Trustāprogress comes from consistency.
Listen to your body. Thereās a difference between muscle fatigue and something that could lead to injury. Pay attention to how you feel, especially in the early days. Stop, stretch, and ease back in when needed. Hustle smart.
Running doesnāt have to be complicated. Just start where you areāand keep showing up.
.WHAT IāM REFLECTING ON.
An amazing trip to St. Regis Bahia Beach šµš· Our family trip to the St.āÆRegis Bahia Beach was everythingāsun, sand, and so many moments that fed the soul. As a proud Boricua, bringing my kids to Puerto Rico means the world. Watching them fall in love with the island? Unmatched.
Hereās what Iām still thinking about:
Farm-to-table goodness. š„¬ We picked our own veggies at the Bahia Beach farm in the morning, then turned them into vegan pizzas with Chef Luis for dinner. Literally ate what we picked. How dope is that?!
Animal time at the nursery. š Atlas loved the animal nursery and the pet rescue programāespecially the kittens. He had us say goodbye to every single animal before we left. š„¹
Spa day with Athena. š Her first-ever spa day at the beautiful Iridium Spa. Naturally, she got a different shade of pink on each nail.
Fresh air and sunshine. āļø From building sandcastles with Atlas to oceanside workouts with Drew, the warmth, beauty, and peace of Bahia Beach was everything.
Thank you, St.āÆRegis Bahia Beach, for helping us create these memories. Weāll be back!

Question: How did you deal with professional burnout and what did that look like for you? What propelled you to finally make the leap?
Answer: When I was practicing law, burnout snuck up on me. I was successful on paper, but disconnected from purpose. That kind of misalignment will drain you fastāand it did. But I didnāt leap blindly. I got strategic and gave myself permission to start exploring what was next. Hereās what helped me shift out of burnout and into alignment:
Small steps > big leaps. I didnāt quit my job overnight. I started by blocking 10 minutes a day on my calendar to journal, brainstorm, or research my next chapter. Momentum builds in motion.
Audit your energy. Notice what drains you vs. what fuels you. Thatās the blueprint for what to changeāand where to go next.
Rest is part of the work. Overcoming burnout requires recovery. Protect your time like itās your most valuable assetābecause it is.
You donāt need a full plan to begin. You just need a willingness to move.
