šŸ‘‘ Lean into your edges

Plus: Revisiting after-school comforts

Whatā€™s up, Hustlers!

Letā€™s lean into our edges.

If Iā€™d only seen myself as a lawyer, I wouldnā€™t be here today. If Iā€™d stopped at runner, Iā€™d have never picked up a weight. Athlete? Thatā€™s only one layer.

This is your reminder: weā€™re never just one thing. We can be ā€œboth/andā€.

Letā€™s dare to explore everything we can be.

 .WHAT Iā€™M REVISITING.

After-school comforts šŸž This week, I found myself making cinnamon sugar toast on autopilot. It was the day after the election results, and I realized I was reaching for the comfort food I used to eat after school. Toast with (vegan) butter, cinnamon, and sugar, plus LMNT hot chocolate. I was a latchkey kid, making a snack for myself and my sister, with Oprah playing in the background. When the world feels heavy, and problems seem large, the small things matter even more. Move your body, fill your Stanley, and consume (media, food, conversation) mindfully. ILY.

 .WHAT Iā€™M JOURNALING ABOUT.

Letting go šŸƒ This week, I'm revisiting one of my favorite prompts:

"Whatā€™s one thing I can let go of to make space for what I truly want?"

Thereā€™s something powerful about acknowledging what no longer serves us. Journaling is where I dig deep and get real about the weight I donā€™t need to carry. Whether itā€™s a lingering doubt, a habit thatā€™s gone stale, or simply saying yes when I mean no, this prompt is all about clearing the path forward. Grab your journal and join me: What can you let go of to make room for your hustle?

 .WHAT Iā€™M PRIORITIZING.

Sleep as self-care šŸ’¤ We train hard and hustle harder, so rest needs to be just as intentional. Quality sleep isnā€™t just about recharging; itā€™s a game-changer for showing up as our best selves. Building a nighttime routine of small, intentional habits is how we can set ourselves up for deep, restorative sleep. Think of it as doing something today that future you will thank you for. Here are my nighttime essentials for leveling up your sleep game:

  • ā° Set an Alarm to Log Off. Letā€™s be realā€”itā€™s too easy to get sucked into scrolling. Setting an alarm to disconnect keeps me intentional and frees my mind for real rest.

  • šŸ“ Brain Dump Your To-Do List. I keep a notepad by my bed and jot down any lingering thoughts or tasks before sleep. This quick ā€œbrain dumpā€ clears your mind, making it easier to fully relax and drift off.

  • šŸ“– Wind Down with Reading. I try to read, even just a single page before bed. After a crazy day, it helps me slip into a calm, focused space.

  • šŸŽ¶ Plug Into White Noise. Iā€™m all about setting the vibe. White noise helps me go into the sleep state, a positive trigger that signals itā€™s time to power down.

  • šŸ§–ā€ā™€ļø Relax with Sunlighten Infrared Sauna Therapy. Spending time in a Sunlighten sauna supports the bodyā€™s detox pathways, boosts circulation, and powers up mitochondria, all of which can elevate your quality of sleep. #ad

And, remember, be kind to yourself! If youā€™re in a season of caregiving, sleep might look different, and thatā€™s okay. Prioritize what you canā€”every small step matters.

Question: Any tips for staying motivated when youā€™re tired?

- Eleanor

Answer: I tell myself to ā€œjust start.ā€ Even if I donā€™t feel like going full out, I start with one small action. Most of the time, momentum kicks in, and Iā€™m reminded why I showed up in the first place.
