👑 Let them doubt you
Plus: The best book I’ve read lately

What’s up, Hustlers!
You will be doubted.
That’s fuel.
Bet on yourself, especially when no one else does.
Let them doubt. Let them talk. And show up anyway.
And don’t forget: you’re not doing this alone. This community has your back, every step of the way.

.WHAT I’M READING.
James by Percival Everett 📖 Fam, this is a MUST-read. Hands down, the best book I’ve read in the last 12 months. I shared it on my IG Story over the weekend and got hundreds of messages from y’all saying the same thing. This book is a brilliant reimagining of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, told from the enslaved Jim’s point of view. It’s sharp, powerful, and impossible to put down. If it’s not on your list yet, add it now!
.WHAT I’M RESHAPING
Hustle culture for longevity 💪 I was recently featured in CEO Magazine, where I had the opportunity to share my thoughts on hustle culture—what’s working, what isn’t, and how my perspective has evolved over the years. The core idea isn’t about doing more, it’s about doing what actually matters.
Here are some of the lessons that continue to guide how I approach hustle today:
Hustle isn’t busyness—it’s intention. Being busy doesn’t equal being effective. The work that matters most is the work that’s aligned and purposeful.
Energy is a finite resource. How you protect your time, your focus, and your recovery directly impacts how you show up as a leader.
Consistency beats intensity. Like training as an athlete, long-term growth comes from steady, disciplined effort—not burning yourself out in short bursts.
Boundaries are part of the strategy. Saying no creates space for better decisions, clearer priorities, and more sustainable success.
Joy belongs in the equation. Building something meaningful shouldn’t come at the expense of fulfillment. When there’s purpose and joy in the work, performance follows.
If you’re rethinking your relationship with hustle or building something for the long haul, read the full feature in CEO Magazine. ⬇️
.WHAT I’M CHEFFING.
Sweat Bean–Stuffed French Toast 🍞 It’s been cold in NYC lately—the kind of cold that makes you crave warm meals, cozy drinks, and slow mornings at home. On snowy days with the fam, one of my go-to comfort breakfasts has been my Sweet Bean–Stuffed French Toast.
It’s crispy on the outside, filled with a creamy, subtly sweet center, and just indulgent enough to make an ordinary morning feel like a celebration. Bonus: it packs 28g of protein per serving, so it actually fuels your day.
This recipe is straight from my upcoming cookbook, Eat to Hustle, and I wanted to give you a little sneak peek to enjoy during these chilly days.

Sweet Bean–Stuffed French Toast (serves 4)
Ingredients
1 (15–16 oz) can red kidney beans
¼ cup coconut sugar
1 cup unsweetened soy milk (or other plant-based milk)
¼ cup cornstarch
1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
4 thick slices of bread
2 tablespoons vegan butter
Powdered sugar, for serving
Instructions
1. In a blender or food processor, blend the kidney beans (with the liquid from the can) and coconut sugar on medium speed until completely smooth.
2. Pour the mixture into a medium skillet over medium heat. Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring often, and cook until it thickens into a paste, about 10 minutes.
3. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and let cool for about 15 minutes to set. Wash and dry the skillet.
4. In a large shallow bowl, whisk together the soy milk, cornstarch, flaxseed, cinnamon, and vanilla. Set aside to thicken slightly.
5. Using a serrated knife, cut a slit in the bottom of each slice of bread to create a pocket, stopping before cutting through the edges. Gently open the cavity and spread about one-fourth of the bean mixture inside each slice.
6. Return the skillet to medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of vegan butter.
7. Dip one stuffed slice into the milk mixture, letting each side soak for about 10 seconds.
8. Fry until golden and crisp, about 4 minutes per side.
9. Repeat with remaining slices, adding the remaining tablespoon of butter halfway through.
10. Serve warm with a dusting of powdered sugar.

Bad Bunny won big at the Grammys, and it hit different. A Spanish-language win on one of music’s biggest stages? That’s culture-shifting. That’s history. That’s Puerto Rico showing up loud and proud. Felicidades, Benito — WEPA. 🇵🇷✨
And now the real question… who’s ready to watch him light up the Super Bowl next? 🏈🔥

Question: I just started using creatine and would like your opinion on when is the best time to drink - before, during or after workouts?
Answer: Timing doesn’t really matter with creatine. The most important thing is consistency. Take it whenever you’re most likely to remember and stick with it.
I recommend using an unflavored creatine with no additives, mixed with water (not a smoothie) so you’re getting enough hydration to support absorption. If you want a little flavor, add lemon or a splash of apple cider vinegar.
