What’s up, Hustlers!Ā

Pressure is a privilege.

Comfort rarely changes us.

The moments that ask the most of you are often the moments that reveal the most about you.

Lean into the challenge.

Push up against your edges.

.WHAT I’M SHARING.

The nutrition shifts that changed my performance šŸŽ™ļø When I started working with my nutritionist, Amanda (aka Simply Mander), I weighed about the same as I do today, but my body composition changed completely.

In this week's episode of Project Swagger, I’m talking with Amanda about what it actually means to fuel with intention. We discuss building muscle, eating enough to support performance, and common nutrition myths.

Whether you're training for a race, lifting heavier, or simply want more energy for the life you're building, this conversation is packed with practical advice you can start using today.

.WHAT I’M WATCHING.

TV shows worth the hype šŸ“ŗ Right now, I'm fully invested in Dutton Ranch and I'm finally making my way through Game of Thrones. I know, I know... I'm very late to the party, but now I understand why everyone has been telling me to watch it.

When I do sit down for a show, I want something with a great story that lets me completely unplug for an hour. Those two have definitely delivered.

If you're looking for a series with incredible storytelling, unforgettable characters, and one more episode energy, I'd recommend both. Now tell me: what's the one show I need to add to my list?

.WHAT YOU RECOMMENDED.

The best family travel hacks—from the Swagger community ā˜€ļø

A few weeks ago, I asked y’all to share your best family travel tips, and you absolutely delivered. As always, this community came through with practical, creative ideas that make life just a little easier. I'm saving these for our next trip, and I thought I'd pass them along in case they help your family too.

šŸ–ļø Beach hacks

  • Apply sunscreen to little faces with a synthetic makeup brush (or let them do it themselves). Apparently, it turns SPF into something kids actually enjoy.

  • Trader Joe's Spray Sunscreen earned multiple votes as a travel favorite.

  • Bring one oversized shovel. Forget a bucket full of toys. Kids will happily spend hours digging forts, castles, moats, or simply the world's biggest hole.

  • Surfer Dudes were another crowd favorite. Toss them into the waves, and they surf right back to shore.

  • Use a fitted sheet as your beach blanket. Anchor each corner with your cooler or beach bags, and it creates a sand-free space for everyone to hang out.

šŸŒ§ļø Rainy-day ideas

  • Visit a local aquarium when the weather doesn't cooperate.

  • Collect smooth beach rocks, then paint them later with Posca Paint Markers for an easy vacation keepsake.

  • Bring the camping trip indoors: build a giant fort with blankets and couch cushions, then add movies, board games, and campfire stories.

šŸš— Road trip wins

  • Audiobooks make long drives fly by. Search "Disney Storyette" on Spotify for kid-friendly stories that are perfect for long stretches in the car.

  • A roll of aluminum foil might be the most unexpected recommendation I received. Kids can sculpt animals, make masks, create characters, and invent stories—and apparently it keeps them entertained for ages.

  • Mad Libs are still undefeated. They're funny, interactive, and secretly teach grammar along the way.

One of my favorite parts of this newsletter is getting to learn from all of you. Keep the recommendations coming!

Skip Souvenirs, Go Grocery Shopping: The Travel Guide That Will Make You a Better Person šŸŽ™ļø Vacation is an underrated self-growth opportunity. Don’t just use it to escape your life.

In last week’s episode of Project Swagger, I shared my tactical guide to using any kind of break, from staycations to international trips, to bring back a better version of yourself. Plus: first-time HYROX training advice and an idea that inspired me last month.

Question: What are your best tips for getting in exercise with little ones at home? I have two children and on days I work I’m often tired or busy helping the kids and it’s challenging setting aside time to work out.

Answer: Start smaller than you think. Even 10 minutes counts. Set your kids up with an activity they can do independently and consistently let them know that those 10 minutes are your time. The more consistent you are, the more they'll learn to respect that boundary. And yes, sometimes I use screen time so I can get my workout in. No shame. Taking care of yourself helps you show up better for everyone else.
