.WHAT IāM COOKING WITH.
Beans, beans, and more beans š« Theyāve been a staple in my kitchen for years, bringing versatility, fuel, and major health benefits to every dish. Whether Iām adding them in a sandwich or tossing them into a salad, beans are my go-to. Theyāre anti-inflammatory, loaded with fiber, and a great source of protein.
Which bean do you think packs the most protein? Check out this article to find outāand donāt miss the recipes. Iām definitely trying the Breakfast Hash! ā¬ļø
.WHAT IāM PRIORITIZING.
Post-workout recovery š„ The hustle doesnāt stop at the workoutārecovery is where we rebuild, recharge, and prepare for the next challenge. Here are my top recovery strategies to stay strong and keep pushing forward ā¬ļø
Prioritize sleep: Your body does the heavy lifting while you sleep, repairing muscle tissue and recharging for the next day. Aim for 7-9 hours a night to optimize recovery and performance. Donāt underestimate the power of rest.
Fuel with the right nutrients: Your body needs fuel after putting in the work. Opt for a meal or snack with a solid balance of protein, healthy fats, and carbs within 30 minutes of your workout. Think: a plant-based protein smoothie or a quick wrap to keep you energized and rebuilding those muscles.
Hydration is key: Your muscles crave hydration after a workout, especially when you're sweating it out. Hydrate with electrolytes to replenish what you lost, and keep your body functioning at its peak.
Stretch it out: Never skip your cooldown. Stretching keeps your muscles flexible and reduces the risk of injury. A dynamic stretch post-run helps lengthen and strengthen, making sure your body is ready for the next challenge.
Infrared sauna sessions: One of my secret weapons for recovery is the infrared sauna. After an intense workout, spending 20ā30 minutes in the sauna helps reduce soreness, boost circulation, and deliver oxygen and nutrients right to the muscles. The deep heat works wonders for muscle recovery and helps me feel ready to tackle the next hustle.
Interested in learning more about this secret weapon? Check out Sunlighten. Backed by 25 years of research, their saunas are designed to fit any lifestyleāfrom compact options that are perfect for city living to larger setups for more space. .WHAT IāM SHARING.
Tips to stay consistent š Stop waiting for the āright timeā to start a goal. I just finished my 1-mile open water swim on Necker Islandāa milestone that felt impossible a year ago. Thereās no magic to it. It wasnāt about being perfect. It was about putting in the effort and trusting the process. If youāve got a goal youāve been putting off, hereās what helped me to start and stay consistent:
Talk to yourself like you would a friend: Encourage yourself with the same kindness and grace you give others. Choose words that build you up.
Take things one step at a time: Make small, intentional actions part of your routine. Itās not about doing everything at once; itās about stacking progress, brick by brick.
Visualize your success: See yourself crossing that finish line or hitting your goal. Let that vision fuel your hustle.
Lean on your community: Donāt go solo. Share your goals with your loved ones. Surround yourself with people who uplift you, challenge you, and keep you accountable.
Celebrate the small wins: Every milestone counts. Recognize your progress along the way and let those moments inspire your next steps.
Youāve got this, fam! šŖ
