What’s up, Hustlers!
Most people think confidence comes before action.
It doesn’t.
Confidence is a receipt.
You earn it every time you do the hard thing, keep a promise to yourself, or move forward before you feel ready.
Stop waiting to feel confident before you start.
Courage comes first. Confidence follows.

.WHAT I’M SHARING.
Back-to-school resets for the whole family 🎒 A new school year means finding a new rhythm for everyone. This week on Project Swagger, I’m sharing the five shifts we’re making to organize the chaos. I’m breaking down how I rebooted our family operating system (yes, I gave Claude access to my calendar), how I’m majoring in the majors instead of trying to do everything, and why Athena and Atlas are taking real ownership of their morning routines.
Plus, I’m answering your questions from the macros episode, settling what kind of potato girly I am, and breaking down my full AM/PM magnesium routine.
.WHAT I’M NOT GATEKEEPING.
My marathon running essentials 🏃♀ This fall, I’m lining up for marathon number 28! I’ve learned that the right gear can protect your peace and your pace. I’ve also learned that the marathon journey is better when we share what works. Here are the essentials I keep coming back to.
Properly fitted running shoes + recovery shoes: Get fitted at a local running store, then give your feet room to recover post-run. I love the new NOBULL recovery slides.
Running belt: Keeps my phone, fuel, and essentials secure without bouncing around. Flip Belts are my go-to.
Women’s running vest: A women-specific fit makes carrying hydration and fuel much more comfortable. My fave is the lululemon Fast and Free Trail Running Vest.
Body Glide: I’m a slippery gal during my runs… because chafing should never be the reason you cut a run short.
Running fuel: Easy-to-carry fuel that keeps my energy steady through the miles. I like HÜMA gels, Skratch chews, or Honey Stinger waffles.
Post-workout drink mix: Makes it easy to replenish and kick-start recovery after a hard session. I’m currently into the Post mix from Transparent Labs.
Goodr sunglasses: Lightweight, no-slip eye protection without the price tag.
Foam roller + massage gun: Important for loosening tight muscles and supporting recovery.
Remember: Nothing new on race day. Find what works, train with it, and trust it when you reach the starting line.
.WHAT I’M LISTENING TO.
How to future-proof your brain 🧠 Rich Roll’s conversation with neuroscientist and physician Dr. Tommy Wood is deeply personal and surprisingly hopeful. Rich opens up about watching his mother live with Alzheimer’s, while Dr. Wood offers a practical roadmap for supporting long-term brain health.
My biggest takeaway? Cognitive decline isn’t inevitable. Many of the lifestyle levers that can help keep us sharp are already in our hands. This one changed the way I think about brain health. ⬇

How to build your second act 💪 What happens when you reach the peak of your career and have to start over? Sanya Richards-Ross knows. After winning four Olympic gold medals and setting a record that stood for 19 years, she retired from track and began building an entirely new chapter. Today, she’s an entrepreneur, Emmy winner, and mom of three.
I was fortunate enough to talk with Sanya last week on Project Swagger. My favorite lesson from our conversation? Greatness is transferable. The skills you build in one lane don’t disappear when you enter another.

Question: How do you practice patience when you’re wired to move fast?
Answer: As someone who runs hard on the tread and in life, I’ve had to unlearn the idea that waiting = wasting time. Patience isn’t about sitting still. It’s about staying rooted while still moving forward.
Here’s what helps me practice patience:
Anchor in the now: When I catch myself getting ahead of the moment, I ground back into what’s real—my breath, my movement, my surroundings. Presence is a practice, not a switch. Returning to the body helps reset the mind.
Respect the long game: Some of the best things in life take time. Growth isn’t always loud or fast. I remind myself that steady progress still counts and that patience is its own kind of strength.
Choose joy: In slower seasons, I make space for the things that lift my spirit. Joy reminds me that this moment matters too.
