👑The biggest myth about high performance
Plus: How to train for your next career move

What’s up, Hustlers!
Life is happening through you, not to you.
You are not a bystander in your own story. You’re not just reacting to circumstances, deadlines, plot twists, or hard seasons. You are the vessel. The force. The author with the pen.
When you shift from “Why is this happening to me?” to “What is this shaping within me?” — that’s power. That’s ownership. That’s swagger.
So today, move like life is responding to your energy.

.WHAT I’M READING.
Tiny Changes that Supercharge High Performance ⚡️ A few weeks ago at the PSL Summit, I had the chance to meet Damian Hughes. His insights were sharp, grounded, and practical — the kind that make you immediately rethink how you’re showing up day to day.
I’ve been diving into his newest book, Micro-Habits: Tiny Changes That Supercharge High Performance, and the message is clear: high performance isn’t built in giant, dramatic overhauls. It’s built in small, consistent actions. It challenges the myth that top performers are just “born different.” Instead, it shifts the focus to what we can control today — the daily inputs, the small standards, the quiet discipline.
The book pulls from conversations with elite performers and breaks success down into 48 simple, evidence-based micro-habits. Nothing flashy. Nothing extreme. Just repeatable, controllable behaviors that compound over time. ⬇️

.WHAT I’M SHARING.
How to train for your next career move 🏃♀️ I recently joined LinkedIn News for a conversation about building your next career chapter with intention. One of the questions they asked me was, “What do people get wrong when treating their career like a sport?”
My answer? Most people treat it like a sprint. But it’s actually a marathon.
After I left corporate law, I tried launching my own athleisure line. I invested my savings. I had materials on a boat from China. But eventually I pulled the plug. At the time, it felt like I’d failed.
Years later, Peloton brought me in to launch a clothing line, and this time, everything clicked.
What changed?
The bones were there years ago. But the team wasn’t. My skillset wasn’t. My endurance wasn’t fully built yet.
That experience taught me something I carry into every chapter:
1️⃣ Play the long game.
2️⃣ Recovery matters — in your body and in your career.
3️⃣ Waiting for the right yes is critically important.
Most of us will have multiple career chapters. The mistake is sprinting toward every opportunity instead of training strategically for the right one.
Your career is an endurance sport. Build the stamina. Build the skillset. Surround yourself with the right team. And trust that not every “no” or “failure” is a loss — sometimes it’s conditioning.
.WHAT I’M PACKING.
Pique’s Nandaka ☕️ The Arzón-Butlers are traveling this week, and when I travel (with two kids and too much luggage), I need two things: energy and convenience.
That’s why Pique Nandaka is coming with me. Straight into my purse. I’m not a coffee girl, so this is my go-to. It’s a powerful blend of fruiting body mushrooms and cacao with slow-release caffeine from probiotic, naturally fermented teas — which means steady energy without the spike and crash. And the packets? Perfect. Rip. Pour. Sip.

Question: I’m trying to build strength, but have limited time. Is it better to focus on the three day split or to take the strength classes? I’ve been doing the split for 8 weeks and am wondering if I should continue or if I should change to the other classes.
Answer: Switch it up—then commit. Progress comes from consistency and progressive overload.
You can either choose a new split or pick 3–5 strength classes and repeat them weekly for about six weeks. Just make sure you’re hitting upper body, lower body, and full body each week.
Build, repeat, level up.
