What’s up, Hustlers!Β

Identity breeds execution.

What decisions would you make if your default operating system was based on who you want to become?

Want to be an athlete? Fuel with intention. Prioritize sleep. Make time for movement.

Research shows that people who identify as athletes work out 3x more consistently than people who just want to "get fit." That's the power of identity.

Plant the seed this week. Act like the person you're becoming.

.WHAT I’M CHALLENGING.

The lie almost everyone believes ❌ This is for anyone feeling behind in life. It’s time to rattle the age cage. We’re going to talk about β€œlate” achievers who prove that age is just a number, and the tools I’ve used to own my timeline. Plus: your questions on living with type 1 diabetes, answered, and my go-to rest day routine.

.WHAT I’M LOVING.

My new, go-to strength shoe πŸ‘Ÿ If you're building strength, your shoes better work as hard as you do. You wouldn't show up to a marathon in the wrong shoes. The same goes for strength training.

NOBULL just launched the Outwork Flex, and I'm obsessed. It has the stable, flat foundation I want when I'm lifting heavy, with the flexibility and comfort to move through box jumps, single-leg work, mobility sessions, and everything in between. It's grounded, durable, and comes in the cutest colors.

Grab your pair HERE. Plus, you'll be the first to hear if a black-and-yellow edition ever drops… πŸ˜‰

.WHAT I’M SHARING.

8 habits that help me take control of my life πŸ—’ I recently chatted with GQ about the routines that help me live a better life. The truth? Most of them aren't glamorous. They're small decisions that help me protect my energy, stay focused, and keep moving forward.

Here are 8 habits I'm leaning on right now:

  1. Do things that aren't tracked. Not everything needs a scorecard. Make space for joy, not just data.

  2. Collect questions, not just goals. I keep a running list of questions in my Notes app. The right question can unlock creativity, spark curiosity, and lead you somewhere more interesting than the goal itself.

  3. Find five minutes you can control. Life isn't always going to hand you an hour-long wellness routine. A few minutes of movement, sunlight, breathwork, or stillness can change the trajectory of your day.

  4. Protect your sleep like it's your job. Sleep is one of the biggest performance enhancers we have, yet it's often the first thing we sacrifice. I treat my bedtime routine like an investment in tomorrow's energy.

  5. Make room for boredom. Some of my best ideas happen when I'm walking without earbuds, notifications, or distractions. Creativity needs breathing room.

  6. Pay attention to your self-talk. Catch that first negative thought, then choose a second thought that moves you forward. We all have an inner coach. Make sure yours is helping.

  7. Limit your blue light exposure. Better sleep starts long before your head hits the pillow. Small adjustments at night can make a big difference in how quickly you fall asleep and how rested you feel.

  8. Do hard shit. Have the conversation. Send the email. Pick up the heavier weight. Life is going to challenge you either way, so you might as well build the muscle of choosing hard on purpose.

Cannes, here we come πŸ‡«πŸ‡· I'm headed to Cannes Lions next week, where some of the biggest conversations around business, creativity, culture, and innovation happen. I love being in rooms that challenge the way we think, introduce new ideas, and remind us that growth happens when we push up against our edges.

I'll be kicking things off at Sports Beach on Monday, June 22 at 3:30PM alongside CC Sabathia and Midge Purce for a conversation on the business case for athlete advocacy and why an athlete's voice is one of the most powerful assets a brand can invest in.

Will you be in Cannes this year? Let me know!

What is Shonda Rhimes’ most consistent daily habit? How does she enter a negotiation? Why is her goal as a parent to raise stubborn daughters? That’s just a selection of questions I get into with THE Shonda Rhimes: showrunner, founder, best-selling author, and the mind behind all your favorite showsβ€”I’m talking Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, How to Get Away With Murder, Bridgerton... It is no hyperbole to say that Shonda Rhimes has transformed television and media. In this episode of Project Swagger, we get into all the gritty details of her success. ⬇

❝

Question: What's your advice for someone trying to be more consistent at the gym?

- Sara
❝

Answer: Consistency isn't about being perfect. It's about keeping the promise you made to yourself, especially on the hard days.

Bringing it back to identity… I don't wake up every day feeling like training, but I do identify as someone who keeps showing up. That's where the magic happens.

A few things that help me:

β€’ Lay out your clothes the night before
β€’ Schedule it like a meeting
β€’ Celebrate consistency, not perfection
β€’ When you miss a day, don't miss two

Keep showing up. Keep stacking those small wins. You've got this.
