đ Tragedy or Inconvenience?
Plus: My new favorite #pursesnack

Whatâs up, Hustlers!
Youâre not meant to live in just one room.
Think of your identity as a house, with different rooms reflecting all the parts of you. Some are loud and full of fire. Others are soft, still, and steady. Each one has purpose.
Youâre not defined by one label. You can be both loud and soft. Ambitious and still. Structured and spontaneous.
Walk through every room. Open the doors. Thatâs where your full power lives.
What part of your house are you stepping into this week?

.WHAT IâM BAKING.
Banana Blueberry Bars đ« Lately Iâve been looking for snacks that do double dutyâsomething I can grab between workouts and also feel good about giving the kids after school. These banana blueberry bars from Forks Over Knives check all the boxes: healthy ingredients, easy to prep, and just the right amount of sweet. These will definitely be in the summer #pursesnack rotation.
Ingredients:
1 cup dates, pitted and halved
1œ cups apple juice or water
3 cups rolled oats, divided
Ÿ tsp ground cinnamon
Πtsp ground nutmeg
2 large or 3 small ripe bananas
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup fresh blueberries (frozen works too)
œ cup walnuts (optional)
Instructions:
Soak the dates in apple juice or water until soft (10-15 minutes)
In a medium bowl, mix 2 cups of the oats with the cinnamon and nutmeg. Set aside.
Now itâs blender time: toss in the bananas, vanilla, and the remaining 1 cup of oats. Strain the juice or water from the soaked dates and add the liquid to the blender. Blend until smooth and creamy.
Add the softened dates to the blender and pulse a few timesâjust enough to break them into small bits.
Pour the banana-oat mixture into the bowl with your dry ingredients and stir it all together. Then fold in the blueberries and walnuts.
Spread the batter evenly into your prepared pan. Bake for 30â35 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
Let cool for 5â10 minutes before slicing. Perfect for snack timeâanytime.
Give it a tryâand let me know what snacks are in your rotation right now!

.WHAT IâM REFRAMING.
Is it a tragedyâor just an inconvenience? đ I asked myself this sitting on the tarmac at Newark for three hours (these delays are REAL!). When things donât go as planned, Iâve been practicing a reframe: Is this a problem thatâs in alignment with my purpose? Because when the friction is tied to growth, it might actually be a good problem to have.
And the tiny paper cutsâthe annoyances that drain your energy? Thatâs when I ask: Is this a tragedy or just an inconvenience? Most of the time, itâs the latter. This helps me stay grounded in what actually matters and stop giving away energy to things that donât deserve it.
This week, try reframing one thing thatâs been bugging you. Whatâs one âinconvenienceâ youâre choosing to see differently?
.WHAT IâM REMINDING YâALL.
Tips to stay consistent with your fitness routine đ You are the CEO of your body. No one else gets to drive your results. That means locking in intention, consistency, and leadershipâeven when itâs hard. Especially when itâs hard.
Be specific. Set a deadline. Track your progress. Put it on your calendar like a meeting you canât cancel. You wouldnât ghost your CEOâso donât ghost yourself.
Make it about more than a âsummer body.â As we roll into summer, remember: this is a lifestyle. Focus on strength, speed, staminaâor just the power you feel when you move with purpose. Aesthetic goals are fine, but theyâre not the full story.
Forward is a pace. Plateaus will happen. Thatâs part of the process. Keep stacking those small wins. Champions donât quit when it gets hardâthey train through it.
Move while you travel. Excuses spiral fast. Even 10 minutes count. Download the Peloton App, grab a resistance band, or hit a quick bodyweight burner. Motion = momentum.
Stop looking for shortcuts. Thereâs no promo code for growth. Do the work. Show up. The results will follow.

HYROX NYC đȘ One year ago, I completed my first HYROX. This weekend marked my fourth competitionâand easily one of the best yet. I raced with my girl Tunde, and the energy was unreal. So much love. So much power.
It was especially dope seeing members of this community out there grinding. Love the power of this crewâyâall brought it. Feeling proud, grateful, and fired up. đ„

Question: Best tip for new runners?
Answer: Start slow and stay consistent. You donât have to prove anything on day one. Showing up is the win. Build from there. Some days will feel great, others wonât. Thatâs normal. Youâre building a relationship with running, and like any relationship, it takes time, patience, and practice.
